The summit cam again, KER-58, the one I keep coming back to because it's the only one in that stretch that still shows a full lot instead of a guardrail cutting off the frame, and tonight it says July 30th. Not tonight. July 30th, 11:30 at night, which is not when I'm looking at it, I'm looking at it now, whenever now actually is when you're reading a screenshot instead of a live feed... that's the whole problem with a screenshot, the date just sits there being whatever it says it is and nobody downstream can argue with it. Six trucks in the lot. Same floodlight color it's always been, that flat sodium wash that makes everything three shades of nothing, and I've said before the color never shifts on that camera no matter the season. They dont rotate the lights. Two years on that feed and nobody's touched it.

Here's the part I sat with a calculator for. July 30 to today is fifty eight days. I counted it three times because the first time I got fifty seven and that bothered me more than the fifty eight did, so I recounted, fifty eight, then I looked at the header again. KER-58. Route 58. Fifty eight days off a camera that already has fifty eight in its own name, once for the highway and once because the district numbers its own cams to match the route, and I know what that sounds like, I know exactly what that sounds like, somebody's going to email me about coincidence again the way they did about the exit ramp, the exit AB pages are still up if anyone wants to check how that one turned out. It didnt turn out to be nothing. I dont say that about every camera I post here but Im saying it about this one, definately. Anyway. The trucks in this frame sit in the same nose out arrangement as the ones on the clock on cam pages from July, same three cabs same two trailers, I havent proven its the same six trucks and Im not going to pretend I did, Im saying the arrangement repeats and the arrangement repeating is the pattern, the trucks dont have to be the same trucks for that to still be true.

Recycling ran a day early on my street this week, Thursday instead of Friday, first time in two years I've lived here, Im putting that here because it means nothing by itself and I document things that mean nothing by themselves, thats the job. The clock on the summit cam is either fifty eight days behind on purpose or the state genuinely does not care what date sits on the corner of a public frame, and either one means somebody decided that was fine. I recounted the trucks again just now while typing this. Six. Still six. Sorry for the wall of text, I know how this reads, I read it back too, I always read it back.
