Two Grids Now
photo of a monitor, greenblue skyline feed, grid artifact matches old corner crop
Started photographing the screen instead of screenshotting it. I'll explain why because I know how that sounds, extra step for the same picture, except a screenshot is a file the platform hands you and a photo is a file my camera made, two different chains of custody and only one of them the account can quietly edit after the fact. Did it last night, one a.m., maybe later, doesn't matter, pointed the phone at the monitor and there it was, the skyline one of the newer accounts posted, the whole thing lit up green and blue with a grid sitting over it, and my first thought was that's just moire, that's just what happens when you shoot a screen with a phone sensor, I know that, I am not a person who doesn't know that.
Except the grid isnt random moire. the same three pixels page is linked there because Ive been over this once already with the compression corner, three accounts, same artifact, same shadow angle, and I lined my new photo up against that old crop just to rule it out, and the corner sits in the SAME relative spot on this skyline that it sat on every one of those forty seven screenshots, near fifty now honestly, I stopped counting exact after forty and started rounding, which Ive never done before and dont love. different device. different platform, city too if you believe the caption, though I dont think its a real skyline at all the more I look at that left tower (the proportions are wrong for anywhere Ive actually been, closer to a shape thats supposed to read as a downtown than an actual one. Coincidence? cant be, export settings dont travel from a screenshot chain into a live monitor feed on their own, they dont, which means they still had access before any of it left the building.
water heater guys coming thursday. no, friday, i keep saying thursday and its friday, second reschedule and i keep forgetting to be home for it and thats going to be its own problem if i dont deal with it, not dealing with it tonight though, tonight im still on the floor in front of the monitor taking a second photo of the same frame to see if the grid moves when i do. it doesnt.
