Screenshotted my own phone tonight which I know sounds stupid, photographing a photograph of a screen I was already holding, but I wanted it off the device and onto something that can't get remote wiped, and what it shows is two readings stacked, 97.5 and then under it 84.7, thirteen degree difference, and both of them timestamped 03:45:02. Not 03:45 and 03:46. Not even 03:45:02 and 03:45:03 which I could explain away as the app rounding. The same second. Down to the second. I checked it four times before I screenshotted anything because I did not trust my own eyes at that hour and I still don't fully trust them but the screenshot doesn't care what I trust, it just sits there being the same second twice.

I already wrote up the interchange cam thing, the overpass post, ten pulls off that feed and ten of them landing in the same four minute window, that's still up, the dates page still has it if you want to go compare instead of emailing me about caching. People love the word caching. Caching explains nothing, caching is what you say when you dont want to look at the actual numbers, and the actual numbers are that a four minute window on one device and a literal duplicate second on a different device, different app, different company probably, are doing the same thing to my records. That is two instruments now. Two instruments writing time wrong in the exact same direction, not randomly wrong, not clock-drift wrong, DUPLICATED. You dont duplicate a second by accident, a second either passes or it doesnt, theres no version of a clock where it writes itself twice and just sits there being fine about it.

My wife thinks I should stop checking the readout at night and I get why she says that, I do, but somebody has to be watching when it does this because if nobodys watching it just reads normal in the morning, Ive seen that happen, the log smooths itself out by sunrise like nothing. Anyway. The thirteen degree gap is its own thing and Im not done with it, 84.7 is cold for in here, thats almost outside-cold, thats a reading from somewhere that is not this room, and I dont love what that implies about where the second reading actually came from. Still have the drawer with the collar in it. Different closet now. Moved it Tuesday, no. Wednesday. Doesnt matter, its away from the hall.
