Caltrans keeps a camera on the interchange out past the 60, public feed, anybody can pull it up, I check it because I check things, thats not news to anyone reading this regularly. Ive got nine saves off that feed since July. tonight makes ten. and ten of ten, not nine of ten, TEN of ten, the timestamp burned into the bottom of the frame reads within four minutes of the one before it, 23:44, 23:51, 23:48 tonight, every single pull landing in the same six minute window like the window is the point and the car is just what they put in the window to make it look incidental. theres a car on the overpass in this one. theres always a car on the overpass, I want to be clear about that before anybody emails me, a public interchange at midnight is going to have cars on it, I am not claiming the road is supposed to be empty. Im claiming the clock is supposed to be random and its not.

My wife thinks I should stop pulling the feed. she doesnt say it like that, she says "you dont have to keep doing that" in the voice she uses for things she already knows Im going to keep doing, which is its own kind of tell if you think about it, she stopped arguing with the collar thing a while back too. the camera doesnt know Im watching it the way the collar doesnt know it got moved, infrastructure doesnt know anything, thats the whole argument for why none of this can be aimed at me and I keep hearing that argument and I keep not believing it because a coincidence is supposed to drift and this one doesnt drift, it holds. four minutes nine times in a row isnt drift, and its not the first clock that has done this to me, the onramp cams did it to me too and I already keep a ledger on that one so I know what a stable number looks like before it starts lying. Anyway. the sodium lights on that interchange have been the same four lights since the first save, I counted them off the first frame and Ive recounted every frame since, four, no new fixture, no new shadow, just the same empty road doing the same almost-empty thing at the same almost-same time, waiting for whatever it is Im supposed to notice that I havent noticed yet.
